This sleek, modern glass vanity is undeniably stylish. The vessel sink effortlessly adds a pop of wow, to what otherwise could be a boring vanity. However, the glass counter top and non-traditional sink could bring up some hesitations and maybe even some questions. The contemporary look is obviously gorgeous but there are some things to know before taking the plunge.
Most importantly, would a glass counter top and a glass sink really be a good idea for a careless, rough, non-ballerina-like person rushing to get ready in the morning? Here’s the good news, even if you’re a little like Bamm-Bamm (well, as long as you’re not purposely destructive) the glass is not going to break. It’s designed to be usable and practical; otherwise it would be dangerous. The glass is not like a delicate wine glass that can shatter into a million pieces. It’s made from toughened or tempered glass, which means that it’s very strong and does not easily chip or crack. In the rare case that it does break, it would break into small chunks instead of jagged shards so it would be less likely to cause injury. So even during the most hectic mornings, breaking the glass vanity will be the least of your worries.
