Vote for the Best Bathroom in the World – Cinta’s America’s Best Restroom Contest!
Bathrooms are becoming more and more popular in terms of home renovation and what home buyers are looking for. It’s not surprising, especially with the Ebola Outbreak on the news every time you turn on the television. No matter who you are, you’ve had to break every rule any decent human being has; use a public restroom. These companies have given a great deal of attention to making sure that their customers, clients, and patrons have the best experience from beginning to end. Here’s what Cintas had to say:
“While most people would likely characterize their trip to the restroom as a fairly unremarkable experience, we at Cintas think it should be unforgettable! Have you seen a unique, impressive restroom? Maybe it’s elegant, eclectic or downright quirky. As long as it’s immaculate, inviting and, most of all, memorable, it’s fair game!
The reality is that restrooms matter to the public. How a business maintains its facilities is a reflection of a business’ commitment to customer service.”
-Cintas
This just goes to show you that bathrooms matter, especially for businesses! Somebody once told me, if you want to know how good a restraunt is, take a look at their bathroom. The bathroom will tell you everything you know about how well the company maintains safety and hygiene standards. If they don’t keep their restroom clean, you don’t want to know what they’re doing with you food. Save the trees, those toilet seat liners don’t do anything and it’s been proven.

Vote for the Best Bathroom in the World – Cinta’s America’s Best Restroom Contest!
Here is the list of this year’s finalists!
American Girl Place – Chicago, Illinois
The American Girl Place uses bright colors, fun mirrors, and child accessible sinks that are lower to the ground. Everything in this bathroom is themed to be a little girls dream. Every bathroom stall has one of their signature doll holders.
Bowl Plaza – Lucas, Kansas
The Bowl Plaza may have you wondering what’s so special about it when you’re up close. Back up a few hundred feet and you’ll realize why this is one of the coolest bathrooms in America; the entire building is shaped like a toilet!
El Centro – Washington, DC
Look at the picture above. Look again. You probably didn’t realize that you’re not looking at a mirror. The El Centro bathroom has 2 metal barrel sinks on each side. Here’s the kicker; on the other side of you is the wash basin for the opposite sex so you’re not actually looking at a mirror, you’re looking at a unisex wash area! This is the exact same concept used in the bathroom ghost in the mirrorprank.
The Fabulous Fox Theater – St. Louis, Missouri
This restroom is extremely spacious and boasts a lounge area just in case you want to get away from your date. The black and white checkered floor is a classic staple in the theaters old-fashioned theme.
Longwood Gardens – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
This is one of the most visited public gardens in America and yes, it is a restroom. 17 restrooms make up the largest indoor “Green Wall” in North America. Talk about going green!
Mai Kai – Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
The Mai Kai is ornately decorated with traditional themed decor. The Mai Kai has a rich history behind it too. It opened in 1956 as one of the only “Grand Polynesian Palaces of Tiki.” Even if you only come to use the restroom, you’ll want to dine at the Mai Kai Tiki Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.
Plums Café – Costa Mesa, California
This ultra modern bathroom was designed by Steve Brabson of Franklin Studios Architecture.(LINK) This restroom is complet with terrazzo floors that imitate the wet sandy beaches that run up and down the California coast line. Owner Kim Jorgenson said that one of her most common reactions is, “Wow, who did your bathroom!”
The Grove – Los Angeles, California
If you’re into the affluent ritzy look, The Grove has everything you’ve ever looked for in a restroom and so much more. The Grove is a combination of sorts, serving as a retail, dining, and entertainment destination. Everything in their restrooms is first class, making you feel pampering while you shop for a new look.
Tiki Lounge – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Another Tiki themed restroom that’s up for nomination, the Tiki Lounge was created by a team of local artists after 200 hours of design and construction! Co-Owner Scott Kramer said that they handpicked supplies and even traveled to Bali, Indonesia to make sure that everything was accurate and authentic. Talk about attention to detail!
Trail Restroom – Austin, Texas
Last but not least, we head down to the heart of Texas. The Trail Restroom is designed around the idea that humans should been in tune with nature. The design has a cold and industrial look with many strong metal fixtures. This may be in part to accommodate outdoor enthusiasts who frequent this restroom during their walks along the trail.
So Who Will Win?
What can you say, we love to be comfortable when we’re tweeting on the toilet. As I was running through the list, one company that I was hoping to see on the list was the Ryan Gosling Themed Bathroom at the Bang Bang Restauraunt in San Diego. Sigh, there’s always next year.
