One thing we all do in our bathrooms is apply our makeup or shave. These activities can be difficult to do with improper lighting. Even just looking in the mirror can be affected by harsh, overhead lighting. While lighting above the mirror is a common design decision, it will cast deep shadows under your eyes, nose, and mouth as well as cast strong direct light on your forehead. There are a couple of ways this oversight occurs, but an excessive amount of recessive lights is usually the culprit. This causes dark spots in your ceiling.
