It’s Friday, which means it’s time for another Weekly Round-up! This week was filled with inspiration for us, from Houzz ideabooks to Pinterest boards – there were a great many sites to take in, and a great many ideas were born. What inspired you this week?
Aside from beautiful images, we also learned how to effectively re-tile the walls of a bathroom – especially a bathroom with tricky wrapped or curved surfaces! And we all celebrated when we saw how one woman transformed her totally ordinary bathroom into a gorgeous, spa-like space for serenity as well as showering. We even learned how to cheaply and easily DIY our way to useful, attractive corner shelving units – perfect for those bathroom tabletops short on space.

How do you feel about the walls in your bathroom? Could they use a little more pop? As usual, Houzz is just riddled with gorgeous inspirational “ideabooks” to kickstart your decorative imagination and help you come up with a stunning bathroom design in your own home. This particular ideabook deals specifically with tile-wrapped walls, with special tips and emphasis on rounded walls and corners. Proper implementation of rounded wall tiles can lead to a truly original and effective bathroom aesthetic!

Check out this incredibly serene and simple bathroom remodeling project, presented by Front and Main. We especially love the tile flooring with the neutral colors that really inject a relaxed, clean atmosphere into the space. Christina Louck does an incredible job transforming her perfectly ordinary bathroom (seriously – look at it, it could be anyone’s – yours, mine… whoever’s) into a remarkably refined, idyllic venue for rest, relief, and relaxation. The new bathroom looks amazing Christina, congratulations!

We love our clawfoot tubs here at Tradewinds Imports. That’s why we were so ecstatic to check out these cool bathtub designs, curated by Padstyle! Old-world fashion with a modern-day twist, these clawfoots look amazing – perfectly suited to either antique or modern bathroom designs, and beautiful in both! I love the use of vivid colors on these traditional tubs. The overall effect is pop, with a sprinkling of sophistication thrown in!
Yes, we realize that compared to the other offerings this week, our article defining and detailing the four different kinds of showerheads you are likely to encounter while shopping is – mundane. But it’s a question that seems to be frequently posed to our crew, and we love being helpful to our customers! If you’ve ever wondered what the difference is between a “rain” shower and a “body spray” shower, check out this post – maybe it’ll help you pick the best showerhead for your own needs!
That wraps up this week’s Wrap-Up! Be sure to check in next Friday to see our favorite bathroom posts, weird news, and decorating tips that really grabbed our attention!
