Have you ever wondered what the best way to get rid of your old bathroom counter top was? To solve this problem a Swedish design studio that goes by the name of Form Us With Love has come up with an ingenious way to go about this. Along with Spanish stone company Cosentino, Form Us With Love has taken your old silestone (a quartz composite used in kitchen and bathroom countertops) slabs and turned them into spectacular vases.
The silestone slabs are cut into rings of various shapes and sizes. They also come in a variety of color depending on which silestone is available. These rings are then slipped over a 16-inch metal bracket to create a fantastic looking vase. By altering the order of which the rings are positioned on the bracket the shape of the vase changes before your eyes! Slipping the rings one on top of the other creates a vase that is watertight, so there is no worry of leakage and messes.
The beauty of these elegant vases mostly lies in their unique customization possibilities. The very nature of these works of recycled art begs to be played with and altered almost every day. Who wouldn’t want a gorgeous, personalized vase in their entryway that changes its shape constantly, reflecting your own moods or ideas? It’s brilliant, and it gets our emphatic seal of approval.
Of course, at Trade Winds Imports, what we love most about it is how well it finds a practical use for old, worn out countertops. We’ve had customers in the past ask about ways to recycle their old tops once those tops have served their purpose, and we typically don’t have a creative answer. We normally just recommend recycling. But now, we know exactly what we recommend: try out a DIY bathroom countertop vase! Beautiful, environmentally friendly, inspiring, fun, and easy on the wallet – everything that great interior decoration should be!
Just add your favorite flower and the rest is history! Or you don’t have to put anything in them at all, they look pretty cool all by themselves.Check out the variety of vase shapes!
